Devol God

              Devol  is a popular deity worshiped in the southern part of Sri Lanka 

                       It is said that when the god Devol came to Sri Lanka, the gods of Ceylon interfered and the goddess Pattini gave them permission.

                      Legend has it that the gods Devol and Pattini were brothers in a spirit long ago.Therefore, it is said that Goddess Pattini gave permission to God Devol to come to Sri Lanka.

          The god Devol who came to Sri Lanka was worshiped by the people of Ceylon and there is a dance called Devol.
