Sankapala Temple

 Sankapala Temple is located at Kolambageara Zone of Ratnapura District of Sabaragamuwa Province.



               This is a temple of great ancient value and is over 2000 years old .

                It is located in the Walawa Reserve and Sankapala Range and was built during the reign of King Dutugemunu.



             Built amidst a large number of rocks, this is the place where King Dutugemunu's general Phussadeva Yodaya was.

              People say that there is a jyasankaya of Phussadeva in the Sankapala Seya
