Olu rice can be pointed out as a traditional food in Sri Lanka.
Olu flower is one of the most beautiful flowers that grows in the lakes of Sri Lanka.The seeds obtained from the fruits of this plant are called Olu Rice and are used by Sri Lankans as a delicacy.
Sri Lankans use Olu rice to make delicious milk rice, porridge and confectionery.In ancient times this dish was widely used by Sri Lankans but today it is used only in villages.This food has been found to have great medicinal properties
